We are passionate about making arts education available to children of all walks of life and believe that time focused on creative expression can be healing and therapeutic for children experiencing tough times. We have a very special place in our hearts for those children currently in Arkansas’ foster care system.
For those reasons, we partner with Doxa Arts Academy to offer lessons for free to any child in the foster care system of Arkansas. We work hand in hand with DHS to advocate for these children and provide opportunities for them to attend classes free of charge.
We also offer scholarships to children in lower-income households and a scholarship for high school seniors who have shown exemplary service in their community.
Low-income Scholarships
We provide scholarships to students in lower income households based on their financial need. If you are interested in being considered for scholarship, download the application below and submit it via mail. We will put it before the board and contact you as soon as possible.
Sharon Bailey Memorial Scholarship
The ideal candidate must be a high school senior graduating in 2024, have exemplary community service, a standout teen in the community, and a supporter of the local arts.
The Fostering the Arts Board will meet and review applications before selecting a winner.
Scholarship award of $1000 will be presented at Sweet Arts April 6th at the Benton Event Center unless the candidate cannot attend, at which time other arrangements may be made.
