Our daughter has been with Doxa for five years, growing tremendously in her Acro skills, even without prior dance training. I began to notice her love for expressing herself through dance, but every year we faced the challenge of being able to afford only one class. Watching her continued passion for music and dance made this year’s decision harder than ever. We didn’t want her to lose her Acro skills, but knew we could not afford a second class. We considered requesting a scholarship, started the email three times, and deleted it each time. Instead, I prayed for a way. A few weeks later, imagine how touched and joyful our hearts were when Doxa graciously offered us the scholarship for the second class! We are beyond grateful for this blessing and continue to pray that our daughter can glorify the Lord through these arts. Thank you, Lord, and thank you, Doxa, for listening and responding with such generosity. -A

Fostering the Arts. Where do I even begin?! My little one absolutely LOVES her dance class. In a world where nothing is in her control, and there is so much uncertainty, she has a place to truly be a kid. As a single foster mom, I was not only looking for an after-school activity that would not break the bank, was aligned with my values, but also understood trauma and foster kiddos. I was looking for a unicorn program. When I reached out to Doxa they told me about Fostering the Arts and I was blown away. This program is such blessing and a ministry; there are not enough words to convey how thankful I am. From the bottom of my heart- thank you so much for the support that goes into Fostering the Arts. It truly makes a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

My daughter was a part of the band in public school. When we switched to homeschool one of the only things that she really missed was the band! We signed up for doxa for the homeschool day and had to really work on the budget to be able to make it happen. Once the band was offered it was something that I knew she would want to be a part of. Without the scholarship we would not be able to participate in this extra activity. We are eternally grateful that she is able to continue to play her instrument through doxa with the scholarship. This makes her feel as if she is missing out on nothing by being in home school and she looks forward to the years to come of participating -A

I have a bio 4 year old daughter that LOVES taking dance classes. Last summer we had a 4 year old foster child come to live with us. The dance studio we were at did not offer any type of scholarship for foster kids. I did not know how I would pay $60 a month for each girl to attend. It would be unfair to let one take classes and not the other, then I heard about the scholarship at Doxa. Our sweet foster baby got to attend the classes and loved every second of it. They even paid for her leotard, tights, and shoes! We were so thankful for such a blessing. -N

Our precious K is 10 years old and has lived with us for 3 months. It was obvious right away that she would love to gymnastics as she did endless cartwheels in our living room. Unfortunately, growing up in chaos has never given her the chance to participate in any extracurricular activities. Fostering the Arts is such a huge blessing. For the first time, she's just able to be a normal child and take classes with kids her age. Fostering the Arts has made it possible for us not to have to worry about how to afford this once in a lifetime opportunity for her. -L

Our family is deeply grateful for Fostering the Arts! Thanks to the scholarships, my four children have had the incredible opportunity to take classes in music, art, dance, and acro at Doxa Arts Academy. This has been a tremendous blessing, enriching them in body, mind, soul, and spirit. I’ve watched them grow artistically, gain confidence, and form lasting friendships.
